On The Ancient Capitol tour you will experience the wide range of Mongolia’s incredible natural beauty, meet her warm and friendly people, travel between her modern and ancient capitols, and sample her traditional and contemporary culture, all in just one week.

After arriving in the modern capitol of Ulaanbaatar, you’re off to Karakorum, ancient capitol of the Mongol Empire, where Chinggis Khaan launched the cavalry that conquered most of the known world. You will enjoy the startlingly diverse landscapes of Mongolian steppe, lunar landscapes, grassy pastures and rocky mountains, with extraordinary white sand dunes.

Next we journey to Khustain Nuruu, home of Mongolia's wild Takhi, also known as Przewalski's horse, who have battled back from near extinction. We conclude in Terelj, where you can stroll barefoot on green meadows carpeted with edelweiss in this spectacular valley, surrounded by stunning rock formations and forests. We will hike, take photos, watch birds, ride camels and horses and at night we stay in the gers, age old home to Mongolia’s nomadic people, ride.
